Allow to me to re-introduce myself…

Hey howdy heyyyyyyy! My name is Taylor Sommer and I am so excited you found yourself on my corner of the internet. It has been a HOT second since I have introduced myself online, so what better way to align with spring and bring in all the new energy and vibes than to update you all on what’s been up in my little world?!

I have been photographing families, high school seniors, couples and kiddos for over a decade but in 2020 hit a major roadblock in my own personal growth when the world shut down due to Covid. I took the change of pace as a signal from the Universe that I needed to dive deeper into my own healing journey, which is why I began therapy and have been doing therapy for over 4 years. It has been one of the most challenging yet worthwhile battles I have faced in my 31 years of life, and I recommend it to all! After I got through some of the major obstacles of my life, I wanted to specialize in a form of portrait photography that can not only give others incredibly beautiful photos, but also a healing aspect similar to what I found in therapy. I found boudoir portraits while I was doom scrolling on Youtube and found one of my favorite educators on the platform and become obsessed with the genre since then! It has been a true love affair since I began specializing in luxury boudoir and glamour portraits. I have met some of the most strongest, resilient and incredible human beings in my studio. Beautifully capturing their true soul and essence while also allowing a safe space for others to explore, grow and be curious is of upmost importance to me.

My studio located in West Richland, Washington is for everyone of all shapes, sizes, capabilities, ages, and colors to embrace the part of their nature that society has deemed inappropriate or immoral; I am giving back power to those who were wrongfully placed into a box and impossible expectations. And I fucking love that!

What you can expect from me when you work with me in the studio: Expect a lot of hype, corny jokes, me sing-talking through my camera to you, swearing and me being a chatty Cathy. I have no self control so be prepared to have your ear talked off. And most importantly, be ready to embrace the safe and inclusive space that I have created in the studio! Many people that have met me have told me that I am a safe and secure person to vent and release to, and I am pretty proud of that and take it as a major compliment!
