It was about creating a space where people could finally exhale. Where the voice that's been telling you you're not ready, not enough, not there yet gets quiet. Where you stop waiting for a version of yourself that's somehow more deserving of being seen than the one you already are. I built this space because I needed it once. And I knew I wasn't the only one who did.
In 2020, I sat down in a therapist's chair and decided to actually look at myself. Not the version I was performing for everyone around me. the real one. The one I'd been avoiding.
What came out of those sessions — three years of them, every Wednesday, 10am — was the slow and sometimes brutal process of understanding who I actually was underneath everything I'd been carrying. It wasn't pretty at first. But it was honest. And honest was the beginning of everything.
Somewhere in the middle of that work, I had a realization that changed the direction of everything I was building professionally. The thing I wanted most — to help people feel seen, powerful, and worthy of taking up space — was something I could actually do. Through photography. Through this.
So I stopped doing the work I'd been doing and went looking for the thing that would let me do the work I actually needed to do.
I found boudoir. And I never looked back.
I am also explicitly, actively, non-negotiably inclusive. This studio is LGBTQIA+ affirming. It is a space for women, men, non-binary, transgender, and every identity in between. There is no version of you that is not welcome here, and if you've been wondering whether that includes you specifically, it does.
I am protective of this space. Protective of the energy in it and the people who come into it. I have built something intentional here and I take that seriously.
